Modern Guide to Knots
Unusual Uses for Rope
Support my small business here:

Rope isn’t always used to tie knots. You can also use it to help with bug repellent. It works well as padding for your laptop in your backpack while you’re going to college. You can also use it as a candlewick or even as a carrier for polishing compound. I did hear a story about it being used for medical treatment after a vehicle accident too.

Improved Auto-Release Hitch

Support my channel at my shop: awesomeforsale.com I took my son camping last weekend and while I was unloading my truck, I could have used a single strand auto release knot. It would have helped to lower items I didn’t want to throw to the ground. In this video I use a special hitch to lower down camp fuel, a shower bag, a gallon of water, a camp stove, and even a mini Dutch oven. Thanks for w...
A knot that doesn’t cinch up. (For Tree Branches)
Просмотров 14 тыс.Месяц назад
Support my channel at my : awesomeforsale.com This is a fun night. You can use to adjust tension without cinching down on your anchor point. Michale from Canada asked about it so that he could pull spiral branches around a tree. He did have some criteria though. He wanted to not that didn’t cinch down, that could be adjusted, and that could also be tied from the top of a ladder from an awkward...

I used it to lower boxes, a vacuum, and some shelving from the stairs of my house. If you stay until the end, there is some bonus footage. I think you would like how I lowered camping gear.

Support my channel at my shop: awesomeforsale.com My dad taught me this knot years ago. We were moving to a new house and I watched him tie up an old bedframe using twine. I’ve been using that concept for years to tie down loads in my truck bed. I recently improved it so that it is adjustable.

I used it for scraps of carpet and to tie up my sleeping pad and camping chair in the back of my truck.

Butterfly knot.
What's the link to the jewelers glasses
I just let it down by the cord, then drop the cord. But cool knot anyway.
The one at :40 and 6:40.. this is very reminiscent of a 'cat's paw'... IMO, the cinching action is the same, but in a loop form ? :-] Perhaps a name incorporating this? A cat-tie? OR, a Kit-tie? A Kitty? Hahah
Hi FCA, are you the one who has a video about how to make a kind of "retrieval knot" for things that have fallen down ? I saw a video on it some time ago and now I can't find it. In the video the guy uses the knot to get a bicycle that fell down into a drainage canal or something like that
GRAPPLING HOOK in where? Was looking to shop, but couldn't find the link.😮
On second view, it looks like a sheet bend, just tied in an unusual way. Apologies! David in Berkeley

Another tip: if you're transporting items in bags and cases, load them so the open end is down. That way dust, dirt, and rain will not get into the bag.
Amazing knot seems better than alpine butterfly knot!
The best knot I've learned this year ! Tks guy !
Mantap❤
That’s Alpine butterfly.
Thank you for your service and the very helpful videos. Can’t wait for more!
Eskimo bowline
Спасибо! Первый узел симметричный и очень красивый, но одними руками (без такелажного ножа) его хрен развяжешь. У пруссика принцип удавки всё же отличается.

They have to have a name.
Got my marlinspike last night - it feels and looks like a high quality product. Just got my turks head on it and enjoyed your tutorial. You're awesome - keep doing what you're doing!
Also just two quick questions: 1)Do you have any variations to the turks head I.e. ones that will let you incorporate the tail on both ends into a handle or a paracord emergency supply? Thought that would be neat. 2)Do you have anyway to ship your products to Canada? I see you even are on Amazon but I had to order this to my family's house in the USA to get one and I wanted to get your product specifically to a)support you because I like what you do and b)think your products are higher quality. I would like to get one of your leather sheaths but not sure how to get one to Canada and won't be back in the USA for at least a year.
How does the watermelon feel about rope burn?
Bhai yeh kaha se milta hn link dedo
Булинь можно завязать одной рукой , второй узел -нет.....
Thank you for the great video. I was able to do mine because of your tutorial. I got some long reach hose pliers and a 22” flathead from harbor freight for this job and I was glad I did.
what's the name of the tool that you use to open the knots?
oh neat it's like a double prussick!
Thanks!
Hey video request I have shoe laces that have excess lace, do u have a knot or braid that could make use or make the excess more manageable? Cool thx
This is every guys handbook to knots, which would be cool if u made a book of knots btw!
Former nasal surgery patient here. That is gauze, and it’s amazing how much they pull out. My head felt completely hollow and empty afterwards. Some say that it is. If I only had a brain, I’d have a snappy retort to that. You’re cool - I like the fire ant perimeter the best. Carry on.
How did you get the box with the picture down?
0:50 I call it the french bowline
Needs some metal parts... I like to put 2 dogs together & make them work as a team (or not), but they work against each other ... the cat hates them, even more
Estas redes son muy útiles muchas gracias por las ideas
I use this knot EVERY day. It's on all of my tracksuit pants and gym shorts. Thanks!
Geniioo!! Me re sirven tus nudos loco, abrazo desde arg!
Going to make this for my beach combing trips! Perfect for trash collecting with a partner too!
00:27 - Это *не* Английская/Совершенная петля. // This is *not* English/Perfection Loop.
This is actual wizardry. What the shit.
Great ideas. Loved the ant perimeter rope idea. Thanks. And thank you for risking your like to protect mine. God bless!
Sharp zip tie your a sadistic person
Dude, don’t try and reinvent the wheel! Use a simple truckers hitch that’s been around since wagons were delivering goods.
Bro was letting his intrusive thoughts roam with that "Cut at an angel so its sharp for the next person."
8:30 that little image of folded arms is one of those very helpful things FCA it awesome at doing like turning the ignition is another example
Now all that's left is to trip over stuff @ the bottom of the stairs
Which rope is used??
Welcome home brother. Nam-combat vet. '66-68. Army.
Ok, really liked the channel for a while now. Like knots, and your tone is pretty laid back and easy to follow. But airborne combat vet WITH a metal lathe…? Over the top… ! 👍🏿
Just and fyi orange oil kills ants.
That bug spray is deadly to plants.
why ruin a good shackle for good by cutting off the edge to create the hook for the unreasonable shackle?? keep the loop on so you can at will use it as a normal shackle. just sell 2 pairs of normal shackles with a suggestion of how to use them as "unreasonable shackles".. check ruclips.net/video/WB4e-2ukr-c/видео.html
